Jun 10, 2009 - Optomap Retinal Exam Provides a "Fingerprint" of Your Eye

In our continued efforts to bring the most advanced technology available to our patients, Easton Eye Care and Optical now offers the Optomap Retinal Exam as an integral part of examining the health of your eyes. 

The Optomap Retinal Exam is a digital photograph of the back of the eye that provides important information about retinal problems including macular degneration, glaucoma, retinal holes or detachments, and systemic diseases such as diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure. These conditions can lead to serious health problems, inlcuding partial loss of vision or blindness, and often develop without warning and progress with no symptoms.
